Most of theproduct leadersI speak with are increasingly frustrated with current software development methodologies and are trying to set better standards. So after thousands of conversations over the last decade with folks who are trying to bring a more strategic approach to agile work, we knew it was time to make The Aha! Framework known.

Aha!has never directly shared our framework for how we build software. It is not because we are secretive. We share most information freely and never gate content. It is more that Aha! serves a diverse group of product builders (more than 1 million users and counting). So our focus has always been on providing supportive guidance and the right tools —no matter how people work.Yet most of the product leaders I speak with are increasingly frustrated with current software development methodologies and are trying to set better standards. Kanban- and scrum-based approaches often shortchange strategy. AndSAFe(and other more comprehensive methodologies) bog teams down in process. So after thousands of conversations over the last decade with folks who are trying to bring a more strategic approach to agile work, we knew it was time to make our way known. The Aha! Framework for product development is something that our team has been testing, refining, and benefitting from for years. It is how we bring our own products to life. And we are now sharing it with you in a few ways.Today, we launched the ability to create and work off of frameworks in Aha! Roadmaps. There are templates for popular agile methods such as scrum and SAFe, but also one for The Aha! Framework. (You can make your own templates too.)Check out the new frameworks here: https://lnkd.in/gURgfRQiThe team also put together an in-depth overview of The Aha! Framework in our guide for product managers, which you can read here: https://lnkd.in/gQFexC5jAnd finally, I am sharing a bit more of the "why" behind our ways in this blog post I wrote: https://lnkd.in/gZQQUwap#ProductDevelopment #TheAhaFramework

Lately, I have been thinking about how teams become better (and then even better) versions of themselves. It is easy to gauge a team’s evolution in sports where the results of a game or tournament reveal what you need to know. But it is harder when there is not an easy way to track the score. So is it possible to materially enhance what you do and increase the value you create? Can you encourage everyone around you to keep working harder to be better? After thinking about this deeply over the last few weeks, I think there are four focus areas: https://lnkd.in/gnc7V-c9What else would you add?

New features and sales opps —I ran a recent poll about this and 85% of folks said that product managers should care if new features are tied to potential revenue. Now you can use the new Salesforce opportunity report in Aha! Ideas to identify those revenue-driving ideas and make informed decisions. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/g-fMUwZ5
